Greg Baker's Fishing -- June
Well, let's put away those yard tools and get down to some real fun, because it's the
time of year to talk fish!
Over the last few years, around Father's Day, several of my friends have gotten
together and chartered a boat out in the gulf waters. I must tell you that if you
love to fish, this is hard to beat! The action is very fast paced and the fish are
spectacular. The color of the fish when you first catch them is so bright that you
have to be there to really believe they are real.
The other special surprise is that you never know what you have on your line. I
think that for me, catching these big snapper was the best. They fight well and
taste even better! Not to forget how great a color they are when they come out of
the deep blue water. You can catch these fish off of oil wrecks that have been left
behind by oil companies.
Every year that my friends and I have taken a trip, we have brought back a 120 quart
ice chest full of fish. Most of us have given fish to everyone we know and still
have plenty for ourselves. So call eight to ten friends together to gather and have
a blast!
