Slidell,
LA
(Small town appeal without
ever leaving civilization.)
Slidell is known as a great place to live -- there are plenty of reasons
besides the fact that it's the home of Eden Isles. Slidell is one of
fastest growing cities in Louisiana. It's so close to New Orleans
that it would had become a suburb long ago if Lake Pontchartrain did not
separate the two. Luckily, Slidell has always had its own identity
and its own appeal.

What appeal? For one, Slidell has the perfect location.
Right by the big city of New Orleans -- that's right, an easy drive to
the French Quarter, the Superdome, the world-famous Mardi Gras
celebrations, you name it. Not much farther in the other direction
are the beaches and casinos of the Mississippi gulf coast.
And when you live at the intersection of three interstates, it's not
hard to go anywhere.
That is, if you actually want to leave.
Slidell is perfect for those who like fishing or boating. For
those who could use a large public library and a hospital or two.
Or just for those who would enjoy a large, tree-filled backyard.
